This is a website of "Forst of Bluebell".

Unfortunately written only in Japanese for the moment, Yukiko Seki has started the site and hopefully she will include pages in English soon.

She has lived in Brussels for three years with her family and that was how I met her.
My daughter and her second son were in the same class at the Japanese School in Brussels, taking lessons on the Saturday mornings.

As she had been learning organ in Japan, she started taking lessons with me until they moved to Japan and we stayed in contact. Since this year, she has started an activity to organise organ related events in Japan.
As an objective, "Familialising with the pipe organs", a great challenge, as the organ is still not so well known as an instrument.

I have answered the "organist's interview" vol.1 on the website, and she is planifying my recitals in Tokyo this summer.

If you happen to be in Tokyo, you are sincerely welcome : I will speak about the programme during the concert in English as well.

Here sre the details:

Date: 16 July 2011 (Saturday)
Time: 14:00~ and 16:30~ (two identical recitals)
Venue: Matsumoto Kinen Ongaku Geihinkan

Invitation to "All Bach recital around the works in c-minor"

I was grown up in Tokyo and studied music in London to become an organist. I am now making it a life time work to do interpretation of organ music by visiting the historical organs and playing them elsewhere in Europe.

I will come to Japan in July this year to perform two concerts at The Matsumoto Memorial Guesthouse in Tokyo. The programme will include the pieces around Bach's organ trio sonata in c-minor. On this occasion, I am happy to be able to release a CD of the above title which will be the second issue in a series.

There will be a mini-charity sale after each concert to raise the fund for the victims in northeast earthquake in Japan. The homemade Speculoos, the popular Belgian cookies, will be sold on the spot.

Simultaneously with this event, one of twelve oil paintings in a series entitled "A parable of Jesus Christ" by the Belgian painter and stained glass artist, Jan Goris will be on exhibit and available for sale as well as a set of twelve reproduced picture postcards on the paintings.

Also exhibited will be some of the photographies entitled "the Fifth Season" by Louise Harvey, the Canadian photographer living in Brussels. She has chosen subjects of Japanese scenes. The framed photographies and sets of 15 reproduced picture postcards will also be on sale.

All of the above settings in the event are arranged by my friends in Belgium and Japan in collaboration with the different organisers who wish to support the charity.

The concert begins at two o'clock and at half past four on Saturday afternoon of the 16th July in the cosy hall of a capacity of 50 seats each time. I sincerely hope that you will enjoy the afternoon listening to the music played on a Belgian-made organ, and a cembalo by a Japanese builder.
