Louise Harvey

013.gif

Louise Harvey is a Canadian photographer living in Brussels.
She has travelled to Japan with her family some years ago and she was impressed by the whole but specially Himeji castle and its area.
She started to prepare an exibition, and there was the 11th of March...
She decided to make the exposition a charity one, and the Japanese embassy is now giving its patronage.

The Arthus Gallery (rue Simonis 1050 Bruxelles) is also giving their part of charity in letting the place free for three days. All proceeds from the sales of the photographs will go to the Japan Aid.

Her photos are made of two diapositif prints superposed.
One can be the modern Japan, the other can be the scene of the traditional nature.
When I see them it makes me feel an ancient DNA appearing through the depth.
The photos are in fact very transparent yet gives the feel of the 3D.

Thoses photos will be exhibited in Brussels between the 16th and the 18th June, but she decided to leave some of those photos for me to bring them to Japan, so that I can exhibit them during my recitals in the Matsumoto Memorial Guest House in Tokyo.

I will bring them in frames of about 50 cm x 50cm to be on sale, as well as the postcards.
See announcement of the concert here
About 15 places for the 2 o'clock pm and also 15 places for the 4:30 recitals are still avalable.
